This Hidden Valley residence called for a lighting design that felt refined, timeless, and effortless after dark. Our goal was to enhance the home’s architecture while creating a warm, inviting atmosphere around the pool and outdoor living spaces.
To properly showcase the home’s columns and brick architecture, we precision core-drilled solid brass mini fixtures directly into the masonry. This allowed us to uplight each column with a clean, seamless source of light—no bulky surface fixtures, no visible hardware—just a subtle, architectural glow that feels like it was built into the home from day one.
We used balanced architectural washes across the brick façade and columns to maintain symmetry without creating harsh hotspots or glare. Subtle uplighting throughout the landscape frames the structure and adds depth to the courtyard, while low-glare poolside lighting provides safety and ambiance without distracting from the reflection of the home on the water.
The result is a calm, luxury resort feel—where the home feels welcoming from every angle and the outdoor spaces are just as usable and beautiful at night as they are during the day.
